Are you a college age student, young single adult, or twentysomething professional? Woodbury Community Church is a growing and vibrant church where young adults are valued, equipped and empowered to use their God-given gifts to make an impact for eternity.
You are at a unique stage in life. The single adult years can be equally challenging, exciting, frustrating and lonely. There are times when you wonder if anyone shares your beliefs, values and vision.
Our hope is that Woodbury Community Church can be a place for you to explore the things of God by not just hearing about them, but by surrounding yourself with others who are passionate about diving deeper into what it means to be a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ. We offer a sermon-based Sunday morning class where you can take the message that you just heard and unpack it even further in the context of a group of young adults. Not everyone thinks alike, but that’s part of the fun. Learning from each other and challenging each other in our spiritual lives helps us mature in our Christian faith.
The young adult group is passionate about not just being “hearers of the Word,” but “doers of the Word.” Monthly service projects and weekly service opportunities are part of the group. Many of our young adults are involved in leadership in our worship services, youth ministry and children’s ministry. Our young adult ministry represents both college students and early career young adults. We have students representing five different college campuses in the Twin Cities and a variety of workplaces. Our hope is to have small groups running throughout the Twin Cities with colleges and workplaces being transformed through the power of the Word of God and the influence of young adults who are passionately on fire for Jesus Christ.
The easiest way to plug into the young adult group is to visit on a Sunday morning and stick around for the 11:45 class and lunch. Activities, small groups and service projects will be launching soon from this exciting ministry.
